without much help from my webhost over the past few months, someone in their user forums tracked down the problem my gallery was having - my webhost migrated to new servers with new path info but never updated an obscure .ini file in our webspace with the new path info. needle in a haystack, but something pretty stupid on their part when looked back upon.

uploading pics should now work fine again Cool
